DESCRIPTION

ELASTID is made of pure Asiaticoside encapsulated in Ultra-Deformable Niosome for the optimal cosmetic efficacy. Skin stretching and injuries create tearings in the dermis producing open wounds or stretch marks. In this situation normal cell-to-cell contact and signalling are altered.

Asiaticoside is the most powerful active molecule extracted from Centella asiatica in wound healing activity. The encapsulation in niosome vesicles is able to effectively induce Collagen and Elastin synthesis that promote the natural skin healing process.

MECHANISM OF ACTION

Collagen and Elastin production by fibroblasts is induced by intracellular SMAD signals activated by the interaction between TB-receptor and its extracellular ligand molecule (TGF-beta).

Asiaticoside stimulate Collagen synthesis independently of TGF-beta presence to effectively improve fibroblast activity in wounded skin.
